Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha went up to 1,96,888 on Thursday with the highest single-day spike of 4,340 cases overnight.
Among the new cases reported from all the 30 districts, 2,517 are from quarantine centres and 1,823 are local contacts.
Among the districts, Khurda reported the highest of 653 new cases, followed by Cuttack (567), Puri (203), Jagatsinghpur (193), Jharsuguda (174), Balasore (162), Angul (155), Jajpur (151), Nabarangpur (143), Kandhamal (143), Sundargarh (138), Sambalpur (130), Sonepur (129), Mayurbhanj (127), Kendrapada (109), Bhadrak (105), Bargarh (108), Ganjam (90), Keonjhar (90), Nayagarh (84), Koraput (77), Nuapada (74), Boudh (67), Rayagada (62), Kalahandi (58), Dhenkanal (56), Balangir (53), Malkangiri (34), Deogarh (22) and Gajapati (19).
Besides, the state pool has 164 cases.
Out of the 1,96,888 confirmed cases so far, the state has 38,818 active cases at present and recorded 1,57,265 recoveries.
