Bhubaneswar: Odisha, on Thursday, recorded 143 new COVID-19 infections taking up the overnight positive tally to 3,33,866.
Of the new cases detected in 23 districts, 84 were quarantine and 59 local contacts.
Puri reported the highest of 23 new cases. It was followed by Sundargarh (17), Sambalpur (16), Angul (13), Bargarh (12), Khurda (9), Balasore (8), Cuttack (6), 5 each in Jajpur and Jharsuguda, 4 each in Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur and Nuapada, 2 each in Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Balangir and 1 each in Sonepur, Boudh, Deogarh, and Gajapati districts.
Besides, the state pool has one positive case.
At present, Odisha has 1,589 active cases while 3,30,321 patients have recovered.
