Bhubaneswar: A total of 157 new COVID-19 cases were reported overnight taking the positive tally in Odisha to 3,33,723 as on Wednesday.
Of the new cases detected in 24 districts, 93 were from quarantine centres and 64 local contacts.
Sundargarh reported the highest of 30 new cases followed by Puri (20), Sambalpur (18), Puri (16), Balasore (12), Nuapada (9), eight each from Angul, Khurda and Jajpur, Bargarh (7), Cuttack (5), four each from Jagatsinghpur and Jharsuguda, three each from Ganjam, Balangir and Mayurbhanj, two each from Gajapati, Kalahandi, Koraput and Rayagada, one each from Bhadrak, Boudh, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur and Sonepur.
Besides, the state pool has two positive cases.
At present, Odisha has 1,717 active cases while 3,30,051 patients have recovered.
