COVID-19: Odisha Records 7-Month Low In Daily Cases

Bhubaneswar: After over seven months, the daily new cases of COVID-19 fell below 100 in Odisha on Tuesday with the state reporting 99 fresh infections overnight.

The last time Odisha reported a daily surge below 100 was in June 6, 2020.

Of the new cases detected in 19 districts, 58 are in quarantine and 41 are local contacts.

Sundargarh reported the highest of 20 new cases, followed by Khurda (14), Sambalpur (9), eight each in Cuttack and Nuapada, seven each in Balasore and Nuapada, Angul (6), four each in Jajpur and Puri, three each in Bargarh, Mayurbhanj, and Rayagada, one each in Balangir, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Koraput,

Besides, the state pool has three positive cases.

At present, Odisha has 1,286 active cases while 3,31,284 patients have recovered.
