COVID-19: Odisha Records Most Deaths In a Day; Two Each From Bhubaneswar, Cuttack Among 14

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha rose to 470 on Monday with 14 more patients succumbing to the infection in the last 24 hours.

This was another highest single-day toll recorded in the state so far. The Health Department has identified the deceased as:

1.A 50-year-old male from Balasore district who was also suffering from Diabetes.

2. A 48-year-old female from Balasore district who was also suffering from Asthma.

3.A 77-year-old male from Bargarh who was also suffering from Diabetes.

4.A 45-year-old male from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes & hypertension.

5.A 77-year-old female from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes & hypertension.

6.A 55-year-old male from Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes.

7.A 58-year-old female from Cuttack district who was also suffering from Hypothyroidism.

8.A 30-year-old male from Jagatsinghpur district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

9.A 56-year-old male from Jagatsinghpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes & hypertension.

10.A 58-year-old male from Jajpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes.

11.A 55-year-old male from Malkangiri district who was also suffering from Diabetes, hypertension & Cerebrovascular Accident.

12.A 55-year-old male from Malkangiri district.

13.A 71-year-old male from Puri district.

14.A 72-year-old male from Sundargarh who was also suffering from Diabetes & hypertension.

With these 14 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 185 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 61 in Khurda, 34 in Sundargarh, 30 in Cuttack, 22 in Rayagada, 18 in Gajapati, 14 in Sambalpur, 12 in Nayagarh, 12 in Puri, 11 in Balasore, nine in Bargarh, eight in Bhadrak, seven in Kandhamal, six each in Malkangiri and Keonjhar, five each in Jajpur and Balangir, four in Angul, three each in Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Kendrapada, two each in Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur and Kalahandi and one each in Jharsuguda, and Nabarangpur.
