Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded the highest single day recovery of COVID-19 patients with the discharge of 4121 patients from different hospitals on Wednesday when the positive cases also saw the highest spike.
Of the recovered patients on the day, maximum 752 were reported from Khurda, 440 from Cuttack, 275 from Puri, 272 from Jajpur, 268 from Nuapada, 187 from Angul, 181 from Bargarh, 150 from Dhenkanal, 126 from Mayurbhanj, 122 from Sonepur, 119 from Koraput, 108 each from Balasore and Balangir and 103 from Ganjam district, according to Health and Family Welfare department.
Similarly, 97 persons recovered in Jagatsinghpur, 83 in Keonjhar, 76 in Boudh, 75 in Kendrapada, 69 in Kandhamal, 66 in Jharsuguda, 64 in Sundargarh, 62 in Bhadrak, 61 in Rayagada, 60 in Sambalpur, 56 in Nayagarh, 51 in Kalahandi, 29 in Gajapati, 24 each in Deogarh and Nabarangpur and 13 in Malkangiri district.
With the day’s figure, the total recovered cases in Odisha have gone up to 1,29,859 against the affected tally of 1,62,920 as the state witnessed the highest single-day spike of 4270.
