COVID-19: Odisha Reports 393 New Cases, Angul Tops District List

Bhubaneswar: The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha went up to 3,23,757 on Sunday with 393 new cases reported overnight.

Of the new cases reported from 27 districts, 228 are in quarantine and 165 are local contacts, according to data released by the I&PR Department.

Among the districts, Angul registered the highest of 47 new cases, followed by Sundergarh (44), Khurda (39), Sambalpur (27),  Bargarh (26), Mayurbhanj (26),  Cuttack (24), Balasore (21), Jharsuguda (18), Jajpur (16), Ganjam (14), Puri (14), Nuapada (13),  Kalahandi (7), Kendrapada (7), Keonjhar (7), Rayagada (6), Deogarh (5), Nayagarh (5), Nabarangpur (4),  Bhadrak (3), Dhenkanal (3), Balangir (2), Jagatsinghpur (2), Kandhamal (2), Boudh (1), and Malkangiri (1).

Besides, the state pool has nine cases.

At present, Odisha has 3,214 active cases and 3,18,683 patients have recovered.
