Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 72 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the I&PR Department informed on Monday.
Of the new cases detected in 19 districts, 44 are from quarantine and 28 are local contacts.
Sundargarh reported the highest of 11 cases, followed by Puri (8), Mayurbhanj (7), six each in Balasore, Bargarh, and Jharsuguda, four each in Khurda and Cuttack, Jajpur (3), two each in Angul, Deogarh, Nuapada,Rayagada, Sambalpur and Balangir, one each in Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, and Sonepur.
Besides, the state pool has one case.
At present, Odisha has 781 active cases while 3,32,948 patients have recovered.
