Bhubaneswar: From 54 on Saturday, the daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha increased slightly to 70 in the last 24 hours.
It was, however, much less than the figures on the three days preceding Saturday. The state had seen 91 new cases on Friday, 81 on Thursday and 97 on Wednesday.
The 70 new infections were reported from 14 districts. Among them, 41 are from the quarantine centre and 29 local contact cases, the I and PR Department tweeted on Sunday.
Khurda reported the highest of 16 cases followed by Sundargarh (12) and Angul (11).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha has touched 3,37,744. While 3,34,990 have recovered from the disease, the number of active cases stands at 784.
