Bhubaneswar: Odisha is ranked fourth among the states in India where COVID-19 vaccinations took place on Monday, February 8. Odisha vaccinated 19,621 individuals on Monday with the top three being Maharashtra (23,615), Karnataka (23,092) and Madhya Pradesh (20,633).
The vaccination drive was conducted in 35 states and Union Territories on Monday. A total of 2,23,298 people were vaccinated in the country.
The total number of vaccinations done till 6 pm on February 8 is 60,35,660, according to a media briefing by the Ministry of Health.
India has raced to 6 million vaccinations in just 24 days, which is the fastest in the world. USA reached the 6 million mark in 26 days while the UK achieved the figure in 46 days.
