Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 70 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, the I&PR Department informed on Friday.
Of the new cases detected in 20 districts, 42 are from quarantine and 28 are local contacts.
Nuapada reported the highest of 11 cases, followed by Sundargarh (9), Puri (8), Sambalpur (7), Jajpur (5), four each in Balasore, Cuttack, and Kendrapada, three each in Angul, and Mayurbhanj two each in Bargarh and Deogarh, one each in Balangir, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Khurda, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
At present, Odisha has 1,224 active cases while 3,31,667 patients have recovered.
