Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday declared an apartment at Nayapalli here as a micro containment zone following detection of several COVID-19 positive cases.
In a notification, BMC said that the Niladri Nilaya apartment in IRC Village under Ward No 25 has been declared as a micro containment zone.
This is the second apartment in the city after Lord Gunjan Palace apartment at Rasulgarh to have been placed under restrictions in the last two days to check the spread of the virus.
According to the COVID-19 guidelines, people will be restricted from entering or leaving the containment zone and those residing within it will strictly remain at home.
Apart from this, all shopping establishments, government and private institutions located within the restricted zone will be closed immediately.
Essential items and medicines for those residing within the containment zone will be supplied by the BMC, the notification added.
