Phulbani: To contain the spread of COVID-19, the Kandhamal administration on Tuesday declared a 10-day lockdown in the entire district.
Collector Brunda D told the media that the lockdown in the district will remain in force from Wednesday 5 am till midnight of August 7.
She said the grocery and vegetable shops and milk booths in the district will remain open from 7 am to 1 pm. However, essential services like medicine outlets and health facilities will remain open during the day.
Except for the transport of essential goods, no other vehicles will be allowed to ply during the lockdown period, the collector added.
