Rayagada: Rayagada district reported the highest single-day spike of 164 fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday.
Following this, the Rayagada administration declared a 72-hour shutdown in the district with effect from Sunday.
Collector Pramod Kumar Behera said that the outpatient department (OPD) of the district headquarters hospital will remain closed for 48 hours.
With 7 death and 440 recoveries, Rayagada district has 450 active cases at present.
