Malkangiri: The overall COVID-19 caseload in Malkangiri district jumped to 444 on Tuesday with an overnight addition of 14 new cases. Of these, 12 were local contacts, the district administration informed.
Out of the 14 new cases, 7 were reported from Malkangiri municipality followed by Balimela NAC (4), Khairput block (1), Malkangiri block (1) and Kalimela block (1).
All the new patients reported from Malkangiri town, Balimela NAC and Malkangiri block were local contact cases.
The district administration further said four of those infected were corona warriors.
With one death and 283 recoveries so far, Malkangiri district has 160 active cases at present.
