Jajpur: The Jajpur district administration declared two gram panchayats in Dasarathpur block as containment zones on Sunday, a day after six more COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the areas.
Jajpur Collector Ranjan Kumar Das said Katikata and Mallikapur panchayats, which include Katikata and Bihipur villages and Mohatypatna and a part of Mallikapur village, are declared as containment zones.
The containment period in these two panchayats will remain in force for 14 days from 8 am on April 26 to 8 am on May 10.
Das said that during the containment period, no person shall be allowed to move into the containment zone and the people within the zone shall not move out.
The total COVID-19 positive cases in the district have gone up to 18.
