Balasore: As many as 11 COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Haripur panchayat area in Remuna block, prompting the Balasore district administration to declare the area as containment zone on Tuesday.
Balasore Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy informed that the entrance and exit points of Nuapur Bada Pola Chhak and Baragachha Chhak in Haripur panchayat have been declared as containment zone for a week from the midnight of August 3 till the midnight of August 10.
Talking about the restrictions, the collector said all vehicular movement, including public transport, and personal movement will be stopped. Also, all government and private institutions as well as shopping establishment will remain closed. The people residing within the containment zone have been asked to strictly remain in home.
He also said that the supply of essentials and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by the block administration.
