COVID-19 Outbreak: Rise In Local Contact Cases Triggers Panic In Odisha’s Nayagarh

Nayagarh: The alarming rise in the number of local contact cases of COVID-19 in Nayagarh district has triggered panic among the people.

According to the Health and Family Welfare Department’s data, of the the 38 fresh positive cases reported in the district in the last 24 hours, 37 were local contacts while one patient was from an institutional quarantine centre.

Out of the 37 local contact cases, 29 were from Odagaon, 5 from Gania, two from Ranpur and one from Nuagaon block.

Out of 458 positive cases in the district so far, 179 are active cases and 277 persons have recovered. Besides, one patient has died of the disease.
