Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday declared a portion of an apartment in the city as containment zone after some occupants of the building tested COVID positive.
According to a BMC release, four flats in Cosmopolis apartment have been declared containment zone after some occupants of the houses tested positive for coronavirus. They are all locals, it added.
The residents of the apartment and the four flats G-112, G-132 , G-142 and G-151 have been asked to strictly adhere to containment protocols. No one is allowed to enter or come out of the containment zone, the BMC stated.
Those infected or their family members have been asked to strictly remain home.
It may be mentioned that three are in Bhubaneswar have been declared as containment zones.

On Tuesday, BMC declared three houses in Bomikhal and VSS Nagar areas as containment zones. Two persons of a house at Jayadurga Nagar in Bomikhal area have contracted the virus, several positive cases have been detected from another two houses in VSS Nagar area of Ward-11 in Bhubaneswar.
New Cases In Capital City
On the other hand, though the number of new COVID-19 cases remain below 100 in the capital city, rising infections during the vacation season have led to worry and concern among the people.
The city recorded, 60 local contact cases in the last 24 hours, taking up the total number of cases to 1,23,024. The highest of 4 cases each were reported from Adimata Colony, Jaydev Vihar and Saheed Nagar.
