COVID-19 Positive Cases Nearing 700 Mark In Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: The district reported 47 fresh COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours including 32 from local contacts.

With this, the total positive cases in the district have gone up to 684.

Out of 46 cases reported from 8 blocks, 20 are from Biridi, 13 from Raghunathpur, 4 from Paradip, 3 from Kujang, 2 each from Tirtol and Jagatsinghpur and one each from Erasama and Balikuda.

Besides, one more case has been detected from the sub-jail in Jagatsinghpur district headquarters.

Out of 32 local contact cases, 18 are from Biridi, 12 from Raghunathpur and 1 each from Paradip and Kujang.

The contact tracing of all the infected patients, who are being shifted to the COVID hospitals, is underway, said district collector Sangram Keshari Mahapatra.

With 2 deaths and 475 recoveries, Jagatsinghpur district now has 207 active cases.
