Sambalpur: Sambalpur Municipal Corporation (SMC) has sealed a private hospital here for five days after a woman from Sunapali area under Dhanupali police limits tested positive for COVID-19, said an SMC official. The woman was undergoing treatment at the private medical facility.
The officials of the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation and police personnel sealed the private hospital and at least 32 persons from the hospital including owner Purusottam Agarwal were put in quarantine as a precautionary measure. The SMC has already started contact tracing of the infected persons.
The patients who are in critical condition will be shifted to other hospitals.
On the other hand, a 10-day shutdown has been imposed here till July 31 to contain the spread of COVID-19.
