Keonjhar: A private nursing home was sealed at Joda in Keonjhar district after a patient tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.
The patient from Bhadrasahi in Barbil locality had tested positive after visiting the nursing home, Executive Officer of Joda Municipal Corporation Suryamani Patjoshi informed.
The doctors and nurses who had come in contact with the COVID-19 positive person were advised to be quarantined, Patjoshi said. The patient’s family members were told to observe home quarantine, he added.
According to reports, some villagers from Roida panchayat area had also visited the nursing home. Following the detection of the positive case, Roida Sarpanch Jyotish Chandra Nayak has restricted the movement of vehicles in the area as a precautionary measure against the spread of coronavirus.
