Malkangiri: The COVID-19 tally in Malkangiri district touched 1,347 on Monday with the highest single-day spike of 98 positive cases.
According to the district administration, 96 cases were local contacts and two had travel history to a hotspot district and Telangana.
The highest of 17 cases were reported from Malkangiri municipality followed by 16 from Balimela, 14 each from Kalimela and Korukonda, 11 from Malkangiri block, nine each from Chitrakonda and Khoriput, six from Mathili block, and two in Podia block.
