Bhubaneswar: With 515 more COVID-19 patients recovering from the disease on Sunday, the number of total recovered cases in Odisha has crossed 12000-mark.
Ganjam district, which reported 247 new COVID-19 cases on the day, topped the list of recovered patients with 199 cases. It was followed by Khurda with 80 recovered patients and 107 new cases.
While 40 patients recovered from COVID-19 in Jajpur, 37 got cured in Sundargarh, 28 in Cuttack, 20 in Keonjhar, 18 in Jagatsinghpur, 15 in Balasore and 13 each in Jharsuguda and Bargarh.
The number of recovered cases in other districts is as follows:
9 from Mayurbhanj
9 from Rayagada
8 from Balangir
7 from Bhadrak
6 from Gajapati
6 from Puri
5 from Koraput
1 each from Angul and Kendrapara.
With today’s figure, the total recovered cases in the state have gone up to 12452 against the total COVID-19 positive cases of 17,437. The recovery rate in Odisha stands at 71.41 per cent against the national rate of 62.86 per cent.
