Bhubaneswar: In an attempt to contain the coronavirus pandemic, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has temporarily increased the price of platform tickets from Rs 10 to Rs 50 each to check unwanted entry of people to railway stations.
As per reports, the price of platform tickets has been hiked in at least 10 stations under the ECoR jurisdiction including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Bhadrak, Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Rayagada, and Sambalpur.
The new ticket fare has already been implemented in Visakhapatnam railway station.
