COVID-19: SC Dismisses Plea Seeking No Rent From Tenants

New Delhi: In a repieve for landlords and blow for tenants, the Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition directing landlords not to demand rent from students and migrant labourers for a period of one month amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
The order sought giving directions to the Union of India for compliance with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) order on the issue, dated March 29.
