COVID Second Wave: Travelling To Odisha, Here Are Paid Quarantine Facilities In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has identified facilities (OYO Hotels and Rooms) for housing suspected COVID-19 patients to contain the spread of the virus amid the second wave.

“Pay and use isolation/quarantine facilities is an essential requirement and asymptomatic and COVID-19 suspect can avail these on payment,” the BMC release said.

The Protocol

  1. Any person who has come in contact with a COVID-19 positive patient or arriving in Odisha from outside or is a suspected case can avail these facilities.
  2. Asymptomatic patients can avail these facilities for a maximum of 10 days otherwise directed by the medical officer concerned for more number of days subject to the health condition.
  3. For quarantine purpose, the number of days of stay will be limited to 7.
  4. The guest will have to make an advance payment to the service providers amounting to 50 per cent of the room rent per day for the required number of quarantine and isolation days.
  5. They will be provided lunch, dinner and breakfast, besides 2 litres of water a day.
