Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has slapped closure notice on two hotels at Kharvela Nagar in the Odisha capital on Tuesday.
These two hotels behind the BDA office were found serving food to customers inside the hotel dining space. “Each was fined Rs 5000 and served a closure notice for seven days. After obtaining a satisfactory undertaking from hotel owners, the BMC Commissioner would consider opening these hotels,” said Zonal Deputy Commissioner-South East Ansuman Ratha.
