COVID-19: STA Extends Validity Of These Vehicle Documents In Odisha Till June 30

Bhubaneswar: Considering the prevalent COVID-19 situation, the State Transport Authority (STA) on Friday extended validity of several motor vehicle documents till June 30, 2021.

Earlier, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had requested state governments to extend validity of these documents.

According to an STA notification, the following documents will remain valid till June 30:

  • Fitness Certificate of all motor vehicles which had expired since February 1, 2020 or would expire by June 30, 2021
  • Registration Certificate of non-transport vehicles which had expired since February 1, 2020 or would expire by June 30, 2021
  • Driving Licence which had expired since February 1, 2020 or would expire by June 30, 2021
  • Learner’s Licence which had expired since March 18, 2020 or would expire by June 30, 2021
  • Goods Carriage, Contract Carriage, Private Service Vehicle and Educational institution Bus Permits which had expired since February 1, 2020 or would expire by June 30, 2021
  • Stage Carriage Permanent Permits and permits issued by reciprocating states countersigned by STA, Odisha, on inter-state routes which had expired since February 1, 2020 or would expire by June 30, 2021
  • The applicants, who have not submitted application for compensation from solatium fund whose limitation expired on or after March 22, 2020 or would expire by August 30, 2021, they may may file application for compensation upto June 30, 2021
