Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 positive cases in Bhubaneswar mounted to 28,110 on Thursday following 201 new cases in the last 24 hours.
As much as 68% of fresh cases are from local contacts (137) and 64 from quarantine.
While the maximum cases are from Badagada (10), there are 8 cases each are from Nayapalli and Patia, 7 from Old Town, 6 each from BJB Nagar, Rasulgarh and Saheed Nagar, 5 each from Jayadev Vihar and Jharpada and 4 each from Bharatpur, Chandrasekharpur, Laxmisagar and Niladri Vihar.
On the other hand, 292 patients have recovered and are being discharged from the hospitals.
There have been 146 deaths and 25,352 recoveries in Bhubaneswar, while the number of active cases is 2591.
