COVID-19 Tally Crosses 1000-Mark In Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: The COVID-19 positive cases in Malkangiri rose to 1031 on Thursday with 64 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours.

According to the district administration, 58 among them are local contact cases.

While 20 cases have been reported from Malkangiri Municipality, nine are from Balimala NAC and the remaining 35 cases are from Kalimela (13), Korukonda (8), Padia (8), Malkangiri (2) and Mathili (4).

With 2 deaths and 657 recoveries, Malkangiri now has 372 active cases.

With this, the COVID-19 positive cases in six districts of south Odisha have crossed 1000 mark except for Narabarangpur, which has reported 437 cases so far.

While Ganjam leads the tally with 13,842, Gajapati has 2119 followed by Rayagada (1734), Koraput (1490), Kandhamal (1141) and Malkangiri (1031).
