COVID-19 Tally Crosses 7000 Mark In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 positive cases in Bhubaneswar went up to 7015 on Saturday with 295 fresh cases reported in the last 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 153 were from quarantine which included 32 personnel of the Police Security Wing and 28 employees of a biscuit factory in Chandaka area. Besides, 11 cases were reported from the KIIT campus in Patia and 8 from the Reserve Police Colony.

Of the rest rest 142 cases, all were local contact cases. They included 2 staffers of the Health Department, 2 from Vani Vihar and 1 from the KIIT campus. Besides, 10 cases were from the slum areas of the city.

On the other hand, 158 oersons have recovered from the disease. They included 17 staffers of a hotel at Jayadev Vihar and 12 persons in Badagada Brit Colony.

With the day’s figure, Bhubaneswar now accounts for 62% of the total confirmed cases in Khurda district (11,288).

With 33 deaths and 4219 recoveries, Bhubaneswar has 2754 active cases at present.
