COVID-19 Tally In Bhubaneswar Crosses 23K, With 354 New Cases

Bhubaneswar: With 354 new cases, the total COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar has gone up to 23,230 on Sunday.

Of the new cases, 248 are local contacts and 108 from quarantine.

While Patia has the maximum of 18 cases, 15 are from Jharpada, 12 from Nayapalli, 11 from Samantarapur, 10 each from Laxmisagar and IRC village, 9 from Unit-6, 8 each from Chandrasekharpur and Saheed Nagar, 7 each from Dumduma and Sailashree Vihar, 6 from Unit-9, 5 each from Old Town, Jagamara, Badagada and Khandagiri and 4 each from Tankapani Road, Baramunda and BJB Nagar.

On the other hand, 318 patients have recovered from the virus.

Bhubaneswar currently has 3535 active cases, while 102 people have died and 19,573 recovered.

Of the 40,196 positive cases in Khurda district, Bhubaneswar accounts for 58%. The state capital accounts for 68% of total deaths in the district (149).
