Bhubaneswar: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha touched 14280 on Tuesday as the state reported 543 new cases from 23 districts in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 354 were detected in quarantine centres and 189 were local contacts.
According to the I & PR department, Ganjam district reported the highest of 188 positive cases followed by Khurda (87), Sundargarh (52), Cuttack (39), Gajapati (29), Rayagada (24), 22 each in Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur (15), Malkangiri (11), Kendrapada (10), Balasore (8), seven each in Puri and Boudh, Jharsuguda (6), Balangir (5), Bargarh (3), two each in Dhenkanal and Sambalpur, and one each Angul, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Nayagarh.
With 70 deaths and 9,255 recoveries so far, Odisha has 4929 active cases at present.
