Bhubaneswar: The coronavirus tally in Odisha rose to 1660 on Thursday with 67 more persons testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Among the fresh cases, 65 have been detected in quarantine centres, while two are local contacts.
Ganjam reported the highest 26 new cases followed by Jajpur (11), Khuda (11), Nayagarh (7), Balangir (2), Jagatsinghpur (2), Sambalpur (2), Keonjhar (1) and Bargarh (1).
Jajpur has seen a steady rise in cases in the past few days with the total touching 253 and the district now has more active cases (127) than Ganjam (108). With 26 new cases, Ganjam tally has gone up to 394 and 283 of them have so far been fully cured. The virus has claimed three lives in the district.
With seven deaths and 812 recoveries, Odisha now has 841 active cases.
