Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha touched 7065 on Tuesday with 206 new cases being reported from 19 districts in the last 24 hours.
According to a tweet by the I &PR Department, 192 of these cases have been detected in the quarantine centres while the remaining 14 are local contacts.
Malkangiri recorded the highest of 36 cases followed by Jajpur (28), Koraput (18), 17 each of Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur, Balangir (16), Deogarh (15), seven each of Mayurbhanj and Khurda, six each in Angul and Keonjhar, Balasore (5), four each in Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Kendrapada and Sambalpur, three each in Ganjam and Jharsuguda, Sundargarh (2), and one each in Boudh, Nayagarh and Puri.
It also includes an NDRF personnel, who had recently returned to Odisha from Amphan duty in West Bengal.
With 23 deaths and 4946 recoveries, Odisha now has 2087 active cases.
