Berhampur: Ganjam district on Friday reported 231 new COVID-19 positive cases taking to the total infection tally to 5098.
Among them, 30 are Corona Warriors while 133 are local contact cases and eight have travel history.
The Corona Warriors are from Beguniapada (1), Bellaguntha (3), Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) (7), Chikiti (2), Hinjlicut (2), Kabisuryanagar (4), Khallikote (3), Patrapur (1), Rangeilunda (1), Sankheamundi (4) and Sheragarh (2).
The eight had travelled to Surat, Chennai, Pune and Bangalore and are residents of Beguniapada (1), Bellaguntha (2), Chhatrapur (1), Chikiti (3), Kabisuryanagar (1).
The local contact cases belong to Aska (2), Beguniapada (31), Bellaguntha (13), BeMC (15), Bhanjanagar (2), Chhatrapur (3), Ganjam (3), Chikiti (4), Hinjicut( 6), JN Prasad (1), Kabisuryanagar (4), Kallikote (5), Kukudahandi (24), Patrapur (34), Purushottampur (1), Rangeilunda (19), Sanakhemundi (20) and Sheragarh (6).
With 48 deaths and 3055 recoveries, the Ganjam district has 1995 active cases.
