Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha soared to 1,88,311 on Tuesday with 4189 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours.
According to I & PR department, 2453 are quarantine and 1736 local contact cases.
Khurda district leads with 712 cases, followed by Cuttack (586), Puri (265), Sundargarh (201), Jajpur (187), Mayurbhanj (174), Balasore (150), Bargarh (128), Kendrapada (126), Balangir (114), Sambalpur (113), Angul (107), Kalahandi (105), Jagatsinghpur (104), Sonepur (90), Jharsuguda (84), Nayagarh (82), Boudh (77), Nabarangpur (75), Kandhamal (74), Malkangiri (72), Koraput (63), Nuapada (58), Dhenkanal (54), Ganjam (35), Bhadrak (34), Keonjhar (33), Rayagada (29), Deogarh (12) and Gajapati (2).
Apart from this, the state pool has 243 new cases.
These cases were detected among the 45676 samples tested on Monday.
With 1,49,379 recoveries, Odisha now has 38,158 active cases.
