Haridwar: Patanjali launched Coronil tablets, an ayurvedic medicine which it claims can cure COVID-19 patients within 3-14 days, at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar on Tuesday.
The Corona kit with medicines for 30 days has been priced at ₹545 and will be available in all Patanjali stores in a week, said CEO Acharya Balkrishna.
“Minerals and herbs have been used in this medicine to make it even more effective. The corona kit can also be taken as prevention for coronavirus,” he said.
He further said that an e-commerce app will be launched for the delivery of the medicines within 2 hours for the order placement.
Earlier this month, Balkrishna had informed that the company had set up a team of scientists after the first outbreak in December 2019. First, they carried out a simulation followed by a clinical trial in Indore and Jaipur in which COVID-19 patients were given the medicine. Patients recovered in 5-14 days and then tested negative, he said.
