Dhenkanal: The Bhuban district administration on Thursday declared shutdown in the entire area under the jurisdiction of Notified Area Council (NAC) for two days till Friday.
The decision was taken after two COVID-19 positive cases were detected from Mahulapala village, said Dhenkanal collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera.
He said one of the two COVID-19 patients of the village had visited different shops and hotels in the Bhuban market and had come in contact with 67 people.
While the two patients have been shifted to the COVID hospital in Talcher, the contact tracing of the infected patients is underway.
