COVID-19: Two Health Personnel & Three Cops Among New Cases In Odisha’s Koraput

Jeypore: The COVID-19 tally in Koraput district mounted to 1271 on Monday with an overnight addition of 67 new cases.

According to the district administration, 64 of the newly infected were the direct contacts of previous positive cases. These included 18 from containment zones.

Of the new cases, the maximum of 19 was reported from Jeypore municipality, followed by Koraput block (12), Koraput municipality (11), Semiliguda (7), four each in Laxmipur block and Narayanpatna block, Dasmantpur block (3), Lamptaput block (2) and one each in Nandapur, Kundra, Bandhugaon, Borigumma and Jeypore blocks.

Those who tested positive on Sunday included two health personnel, three police personnel and one ASHA Anganwadi Worker (AWW).

With two deaths and 795 recoveries, Koraput now has 474 active cases.
