Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 cases in the state capital went up to 67,956 on Saturday after 1,076 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 148 are from quarantine and 928 through local contacts.
Maximum cases were reported from Nayapalli (52), followed by, Old Town, Khandagiri and Patia (41 each), Laxmisagar (37), Chandrasekharpur (36), Sundarpada (34), Dumduma (32), Badagada (31), Unit-8 (25), Unit-6 (22), Patrapada (23), Niladri Vihar (20), Baramunda and Rasulgarh (18 each), Jharpada and Tankapani Road (17 each), Bhoi Nagar, Jaydev Vihar, Sailashree Vihar and Chakeisiani (16 each), Mancheswar and Palasuni (15 each), Bomikhal, Saheed Nagar and Palaspalli (13 each).
Meanwhile, 989 patients recovered in last 24 hours.
With 54,869 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 12,756 active cases.
