Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar went up to 24,537 on Thursday with 309 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 73% are local contacts (226) while 83 are from quarantine.
Twenty-one cases have been reported from Nayapalli, 10 each are from Old Town and Patia, 8 each from Sailashree Vihar and Rasulgarh, 7 each from Kalinga Vihar and VSS Nagar, 5 each from Chandrasekhrpur, Dumduma, Jharpada, Pokhariput, Sundarpada and Patrapada and 4 each from Ghatikia, IRC Village, Jayadev Vihar, Laxmisagar, Maitree Vihar, Unit-1, Saheed Nagar and Rental Colony.
As many as 319 patients recovered from the disease in last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries in the Odisha capital to 20,888. Bhubaneswar has 3519 active cases, while 109 people have died so far.
