Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital reported 974 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which took the active cases tally to active cases tally to 11,174 on Wednesday.
Among the new cases, 170 are from quarantine and 804 local contacts.
Nayapalli reported the highest of 59 cases followed by Patia (48), Old Town and Jharpada (34 each), Sailashree Vihar (33), Khandagiri (32), Laxmisagar (30), Patrapada (26), Niladri Vihar and Chandrasekharpur (22 each).
On the other hand, 1067 patients have recovered from the disease during this period.
Notably, Bhubaneswar accounts for 66 per cent of the total of 1,15,935 positive cases in Khurda districts.
