New Delhi: An overnight addition of 54,735 positive cases took India’s COVID-19 tally to 17,50,723 on Sunday. The country recorded a jump of over 1.5 lakh cases in the past three days.
Also, 853 people succumbed to the virus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 37,364, the Union Health Ministry informed.
The cumulative recovered cases (11,45,629) have surpassed active cases by 5,77,899. Also, India’s recovery rate remains at 65.44 per cent. The fatality rate of cases though dipped a bit to 2.13 per cent and is observed to be falling progressively, according to a Health Ministry release.
