Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 positive cases in the state capital went up to 27,670 on Tuesday with 229 new cases in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 79% are local contacts (182) and 47 quarantine.
While Rasulgarh has the highest 13 cases, 12 cases are from Patia, 11 from Laxmisgar, 9 each from Chandrasekharpur and Hansapal, 7 from Saheed Nagar, 6 each from IRC Village, Nayapalli and Old Town, 5 from Shailashree Vihar and 4 each from BJB Nagar, Khandagiri, Unit-9, Naharakanta, Salia Sahi and Unit-1.
On the other hand, 308 patients have recovered and are being discharged from the hospital.
With 142 deaths, Bhubaneswar has 24,758 recoveries and 2749 active cases.
