Malkangiri: The COVID-19 positive cases in the district went up to 1475 on Wednesday with 73 new cases.
Of the new cases, 30 are from Malkangiri Municipality and 12 from Balimela NAC areas. The remaining 31 cases were reported from Korukonda (14), Khariput (8), Chitrakonda (3), Mathili (2), Malkangiri (2) and Padia (2) blocks.
The new cases detected on the day included 68 local contact cases.
With 3 deaths and 950 recoveries, Malkangiri district has 522 active cases at present.
