Bhubaneswar: New COVID-19 cases that had gone past 3,000 in Odisha on Thursday, came down on Friday with 2697 cases reported overnight.
The new cases took the state’s cumulative tally to 2,46,839.
Of the new cases, 1,576 are in quarantine centres and 1,121 are local contacts.
Among the districts, Khurda led the tally with 482 new cases, followed by Cuttack (234), Nuapada (153), Mayurbhanj (134), Sundargarh (120), Jajpur (118), Balasore (115), Angul (107), Sambalpur (107), Bargarh (86), Jharsuguda (77), Keonjhar (75), Kendrapada (69), Sonepur (69), Bhadrak (66), Jagatsinghpur (65), Puri (64), Balangir (62), Nabarangpur (51), Dhenkanal (45), Ganjam (45), Kalahandi (45), Koraput (45), Malkangiri (40), Nayagarh (38), Kandhamal (34), Boudh (31), Deogarh (15), Gajapati (8) and Rayagada (3).
Besides, the state pool has reported 94 cases.
As of Friday, Odisha has 28,811 active cases and 2,16,984 patients have recovered.
