Baripada: As many as 30 local contact cases were among the 39 COVID-19 positive cases reported in Mayurbhanj district in the last 24 hours, the administration said on Saturday.
Of the new cases, the maximum of eight was detected in Baripada municipality, followed by five each in Bahalda, Jashipur and Sukruli blocks, four each in Kaptipada and Thakurmunda blocks, two in Bijatala block and one each in Morada, Bangiriposi, Suliapada, Badasahi and Baripada blocks.
With one death and 594 recoveries, Mayurbhanj district has 263 active cases at present.
