Nabarangpur: A two-day shutdown will be imposed in Nabarangpur district with effect from August 25 (Tuesday), Collector Ajit Kumar Mishra said on Saturday.
The decision was taken after 43 COVID-19 cases were reported in the district in the last 24 hours.
Mishra said shutdown rules will be strictly implemented across the district and violators will be severely dealt with.
During the shutdown, active surveillance of COVID-19 patients will be taken up to contain the spread of the virus, he added.
With one death and 453 recoveries, Nabarangpur district has 277 active cases at present.
